My Background

Where the Strategy Comes From

I spent more than a decade in Cape Town, South Africa, working in church communications across writing, digital media, video content, teaching curriculum, campaigns, and ministry support.

That season shaped how I think about marketing because the work was never only about looking polished. It was about helping people understand the message, trust the source, and know why it mattered.

Back in the United States, I worked with Rhodes, a land development company in South Texas, supporting campaigns, social media, websites, launches, and content across multiple brands and communities. That work required both planning and practical execution across very different audiences.

Over time, my work expanded into nonprofit and international projects, including organizations connected to Rwanda and other global contexts. Those projects reinforced what I had already learned: good marketing has to be clear enough to travel across cultures, platforms, teams, and audiences.

Today

Christina Martin Marketing + Design exists to help organizations make their marketing feel clearer, more consistent, and more connected to the people behind the work.

Sometimes that means strategy. Sometimes that means website copy, social media, SEO writing, campaign support, video editing, or creative production. Most of the time, it is a mix of both.

I have learned that clarity is not a design problem or a budget problem. It is a communication problem. And when you solve it, everything else in your marketing gets easier.

Some clients come to me because they need help making sense of the bigger picture. Their website, social media, campaigns, or content may all be active, but not working together clearly.

Others already know what they need and simply want someone they trust to help produce the work well. That might mean writing website copy, editing a reel, creating graphics, building out social content, supporting a launch, or helping a campaign feel more consistent.

I am comfortable working in both spaces because most real projects do not stay neatly in one category. Good strategy still needs execution, and good execution usually benefits from someone who understands the strategy behind it.
